Malaysian Astros II MLRS versus Iron Dome, described in fiction: How was it written?

Though tragic to watch, videos that show exchanges of rocket and missile fire between Palestinian and Israeli forces provide insights into how a missile exchange might be conducted.

The amazing thing about these videos is the fact that they even exist. Onlookers from both sides disregard air raid warnings and stay outdoors, exposed to enemy fire and deadly shrapnel raining from the sky, to capture the footage posted on social media. In the old days, most Palestinians would have remained indoors. Israelis too would have locked themselves in bomb shelters, safely hunkered down, blind to the air defences at work in the sky above them, waiting for the All Clear signal to sound.

The fictional battle described in Pukul Habis between Malaysian Armed Forces Astros II MLRS batteries from Briged Artileri Roket and the Singapore Armed Forces' imaginary counter rocket artillery mortar system, the Iron Dome, was written years ago after I watched video footage of Palestinian rockets versus Israeli Iron Dome defences.

The way in which Iron Dome Tamir interceptor rockets snaked their way into the sky, the after effects of successful and unsuccessful interceptions, and reactions from onlookers gleaned from these videos helped one imagine what an Astros versus Iron Dome exchange fought in Singapore skies might look like.

Pukul Habis describes Briged Artileri Roket in action with rocket barrages unleashed at night and in daytime fire missions. I hope you find the descriptions engaging, interesting and thought provoking.
