This sentance at CNA takes the cake: "Supporting air assets included the USN’s P-8 Poseidon aircraft and **Hawker Hunter fighter jets** and a Republic of Singapore Air Force Sikorsky S-70B Seahawk naval helicopter embarked on RSS Supreme."

What so surprising ? Hawker Hunter FR7, MB339, A4 Skyhawk, F-5II Tiger and even old Soviet fighter/Training jets like the MIG-29, SU-21/22 just to name afew are use in US by Civil Contractor. The Contractor in state got a whole toys collection there. even SAM sys from an un-know country( not to be named).

A recent TV show - "The Last Ship" - showed how the Nomad was deployed to simulate the presence of the ship to enemy radar. It was quite "imaginative" and I am just wondering if that's another Hollywood "magic". To be fair, the ship's crew acknowledged that that was not what it was meant to do. hehe
