@21A: when did they introduce Mk IA? sometimes these Mk I and IA are early production modifications just like the Ultimax. I have only seen the Bionix in camp once, near the end of my reservist. It was a 40/50 IIRC.
@52: not really sure but I would imagine that the Mk 1A came out quite quickly after the Mk 1. Both 1 and 1A were in service when I was active 9 years ago. Mk 1A merely had some ergonomic improvements (like making the MG spare barrel easier to reach) over the Mk 1
technically, the present BX2 that you see today has undergone a few changes from the first one that rolled out as well...so I won't be surprised if there exist two 'same same but different' models

Bionix II; 30mm Bushmaster 2 autocannon
More?
think is Bionix 25 with Bushmaster M242 25mm cannon.
i think it is an early model of the BX25. It does not have the coaxial..
I'll give it a try..
BX I command post with no armament
got armanent lehs, smoke grenade launcher + CMG...
BX I with 25mm. Picture taken at SAFTI Open House 2000?
no armament? what's that long dicky thing sticking out? ;@)
Ok then, BX I command post with smoke grenade launchers and CMG only.
The long dicky thing sticking out is just... a long dicky thing sticking out.
@ RX: haha sorry I was just trying to be an ass :P
@ 5-2: actually that long thing is our TOP SECRET LAZER CANNON FLAMETHROWER RAWR! >:D
RX, how do you see its a command post?
There is no 7.62 mm Coaxial MG & no Thermal Sighting. It's a command post with a dummy 25mm cannon
ar thanks...
I go with RX, BX I command post, sighting system seems to be missing
arh but technically there is no BX I, just BX and BX II.
Hmm, at MLC 26, looks likea BX to me only. With that, 76mm smoke grenades and 25mm Bushmaster??? Probably one of the earlier models.
@FIVE-TWO: Yes, there is actually are a BX Mark 1 and a BX Mark 1A versions but of cos they were just called BX in the pre-BX II days
Look at the turrent and compare it with a BX 25mm turrent, the differences are quite clear.
Wow, these two vehicles must be antiques by now. Note the fabric side skirts and the strips of non-slip covering on the deck.
21Alpha, good eyesight :P
@21Alpha: Can't be as old as our SM1s or M113s. ;) Or even L2s for the matter.

I just know they are Bionixes with a certain sabot cannon with smoke launchers. ><
@dtwn: yes u are right of cos :)

BX1 Command Post.
with due regards to opsec, does the license plate indicate the type, as in the days of yore?
yes
5-2: You might wanna see my early post titled "MID life obsession" archived under September 09.
CJ: yes I did see that, and I still remember all the M113 license plates I served with.
