Hi everyone,
I am overseas this week. Will personally deliver a copy of my first novel to a special reader outside Singapore. Stay tuned.
A friend from Kuala Lumpur emailed that he stayed up overnight to finish the book. He read it cover to cover at one go.
Several other readers did it in one sitting too - spending several hours in an alternate world where the balloon goes up, the unthinkable happens and the shooting starts.
Reviews have started appearing on Amazon. Many of you have also contacted me offline to share your views. Much appreciate the feedback. Hope you can also share your enthusiastic response to what could be the first detailed look at such a wartime scenario, published as a fictional story, on Amazon too.
It’s interesting to learn that comments from readers mirror those from the small group of test readers (mostly ex-Malaysian Armed Forces and ex-Singapore Armed Forces). Quite a lot of thought went into the back story on the geopolitical situation and its ramifications. Am glad early readers have noticed and appreciated this aspect of the war story.
Please take your time to finish the book. I hope it provides an enthralling distraction from daily life.
